Merry Christmas!

Sometimes I put lights outside, sometimes just inside. This year, inside only. It's been quite chilly.
Amy and Jon ornaments (circa Hawaii days) made the ornament cut this year. Plus a stuffed Santa duck behind me.
This was our first Christmas without Miss Ginger, and we both felt her absence quite a lot. She spent so much of her time in Boise in the living room, it was really her room. As Christmas is mostly set up in the living room, it felt a little...lesser. We used this stuffed red wiener dog in the saucy green beret and red plaid scarf as our topper, in homage to little Toot.
While many folks have a tradition of putting the same topper on year after year, we have a tradition that after 21 years together, we still have no "suitable" topper. Over the years we've used stuffed creatures, Winnie-the-Pooh puppets, paper angels made by me, and even a Jack-in-the-Box antenna ball. Our tree was small, but sparkly, and just right for our smallish living room!
