(You'll have to pardon me, but everything Garden-District-related requires a vintage cast. :) The historic St. Charles Avenue Streetcar! Uninterrupted service since 1893! We had breakfast down here (including grits, among other delicacies) then off to wander!

This fellow looks rather at home on Magazine Street. (Looks a little like Wheeler, Oregon, eh?)

After the rain stopped, these fellows popped out and were everywhere! I was fearful of stomping on them, and wanted to alert them to be careful, that there are frenchies everywhere in Loosiana!

The edges of the Garden District have pockets of disrepair, but mostly it seemed like we remembered it...
tho we didn't stalk Anne Rice's Garden District house on this visit.
