Musica: Welcome Guitalele!

We spent two nights in Bozeman, so the next day: more dilly-dallying!!  A leisurely breakfast out, wandering around shopping, and just hangin'. And with all that guitar in our systems, we HAD to go to the Bozeman music store. Did you know Gibson is headquartered in Bozeman? I didn't. First up: a(nother) fancy guitar my husband wants. His allegiance will always be to Martin, but he is considering a specific Gibson.
Test-drivin' a mandolin.
BANJO!!!! PICK THE BANJO!!!!! I loved loved loved this one. So fun. If you have $4,000 to donate to our instrument fund, contact me offline.
Last up: a Guitalele. From Wikipedia: "guitalele (sometimes spelt guitarlele) is a guitar-ukulele hybrid, that is, "a 1/4 size" guitar, a cross between a classical guitar and a tenor ukulele. The guitalele combines the portability of a ukulele, due to its small size, with the six single strings and resultant chord possibilities of a classical guitar." Also sometimes called a campfire guitar.
Turns out, we could not resist this little Bozeman gem. It came home with us! And I LOVE it's sound! MAYBE even more than the guitar, if you can imagine.
We then continued walking around town. With a little guitar in a case. And suddenly there were a lot of honkings. And when we would go into shops, shopkeepers would ask two questions: "Did you play at the Emerson last night? No? Ok. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't talking to Zac Brown." And then: "You don't have a gun in there, do you?" It is Montana, either option was a real possibility.
